Artist's Concept:
“Between Nature and the City” is a collaboration project with Hong Kong Arts Centre.

The Chinese characters for “Ho Man Tin” carry the meaning of “field”, which implies a place between the city and nature. It may be relatively closer to nature when compared to the hustle and bustle of the city, yet it is somehow related to the development of a city when compared to nature.

The artwork entitled “Between nature and the city” is inspired by this concept. In the magnificent and harmonious environment of nature, the life of small animals is vivid but traces of buildings are still visible, depicting a dream place to live.

Apart from a major art piece to highlight the theme, 24 smaller works are showcased in the station concourse and along the wall next to the platform escalators/staircases. These artworks echo one another and are integrated into the station environment to bring an enjoyable travelling experience.
