Watercolour paintings illustrating the strength and transformation of Hong Kong are now on display at an “Art in MTR” exhibition in Sheung Wan and Sai Wan Ho stations from 6 October 2020 until 3 January 2021. Created by artist Mr Ricky Chung Wai-ming, who is well-known as Ming Yue, the paintings in the exhibition aim to remind and motivate people to stay positive and persistent even in difficult times amid the pandemic.

“The pandemic has brought unprecedented changes to people’s daily life. The theme of the series of paintings is ’Embrace Positive Energy for Hong Kong’ which strives to motivate Hong Kong people to regain their faith and stay positive during the pandemic,” said Ming Yue, who is also the artist of the station artwork “Blessings • Bridge” at Ho Man Tin Station.

“The essence of a great artwork, in addition to its creativity and aesthetic value, is the message the artist would like to convey,” said Ms Linda Choy, Corporate Affairs Director of MTR Corporation. “We hope these artworks can inspire and light up our community to tide over the difficulties facing us,” Ms Choy added.
