Inclusive Artworks Add a Touch of Ink Painting to Passenger Journeys

Exhibition dates: 12.1.2026 - 13.4.2026
Venue: Sheung Wan Station & Sai Wan Ho Station
Co-organised with: Castle Peak Hospital

From 12 January 2026 until 13 April 2026, the "Art in MTR" exhibition sites at Sheung Wan Station and Sai Wan Ho Station will feature Chinese ink paintings created by service users of Castle Peak Hospital (CPH). Under the theme "Art for All", the exhibition brings to the public a series of elegant and captivating Chinese ink artworks for their enjoyment during their daily commutes, supporting the vision of inclusive art.

"MTR is committed to promoting social inclusion through collaborations with different artists and organisations to enrich passengers' journeys. 'Art for All' embodies our vision of social inclusion and the boundless appeal of art. We believe these works, with their vibrant themes and vivid brushstrokes, will enable the public to experience the power of art in their daily commutes while at the same time sending encouragement to the artists behind such paintings," said Ms Linda Choy, Corporate Affairs and Branding Director of MTR Corporation.

"Through this exhibition, visitors will witness the therapeutic value of artistic expression and gain insights into the resilience and creativity of our service users. The exhibition aims to highlight the importance of fostering an inclusive and supportive community, where everyone's creativity and voice are valued and celebrated," said Dr Steve Tso, Chairperson of the Art Facilitation and Hospital Archives Subcommittee, Institute of Mental Health, Castle Peak Hospital.

The "Art in CPH" Project, launched in 2003 by the Institute of Mental Health at Castle Peak Hospital, encourages service users to unleash their artistic potential and creativity. By channeling emotions through creative expression, the programme highlights the therapeutic value and healing power of art. The exhibits on display at the MTR stations include works created individually by persons in recovery, as well as collaborative pieces by inpatients and hospital staff, embodying the vision of "Art for All."
