The four-storey Lighthouse Library has a collection of nearly 4,000 books. Most of them are about natural science. Take your time and pick one that interests you. The interior design features the soft colour of natural wood. Slender floor-to-ceiling windows are installed between bookshelves. When you are looking for a book, you can see the blue sea out there. The minimalist design falls against the backdrop of natural scenery, which makes a unity of nature and man. Just relax in the cozy surroundings of this heaven of books.

The seaside reading area on the second floor has full-length windows in place for great natural lighting. After reading for some time, rest your eyes by looking over the coast and the mountains on the other side. This will surely refresh your mind. While you are likely to be tempted to take photos and check in to this stunning location, don’t forget to keep quiet. There are also seats in the open area. Feel free to chit-chat with your friends outdoor in the sea breeze.

The Lighthouse Library is located at the beautiful Yantian Greenway. The 19.5 km promenade is blessed with excellent scenery. You can walk or cycle along the way to enjoy the geological landscapes as well as the observation decks. Don't miss out on the delicious food in Yantian Seafood Street afterwards. Getting there:

From downtown area: Take Shenzhen Metro Line 8. Get off at Haishan Station and walk about 10 minutes from Exit B.
From East Rail Line Lo Wu Station: Get to Shenzhen Metro Luohu Station on foot and take Line 1. Transfer to Line 2 at Grand Theater Station and then directly transfer to Line 8.
From East Rail Line Lok Ma Chau Station: Get to Shenzhen Metro Futian Checkpoint Station on foot and take Line 4. Take Line 2 at Civic Center Station and then directly transfer to Line 8.
