[Summer Special] Family Fun in Shenzhen starts here – Kids Ride Free!

In recent years, Shenzhen has welcomed many family-friendly attractions – from theme parks and indoor zoos to spacious playrooms, offering endless fun for kids to burn off energy. Adults can also indulge in great food or enjoy a relaxing massage. Travelling to Shenzhen is quick and convenient via the East Rail Line ! Children can even enjoy free MTR rides to or from Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau Station this summer!

From 13 July to 31 August 2026, children aged 3 to 11 can collect a free cross boundary ride to or from Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau Station with a valid Child Octopus at Digital Service Kiosks or Self-service Redemption Machines located in the unpaid area of MTR stations before entering the gate for each ride.

3 steps to collect the offer at Digital Service Kiosks:

Click “Cross Boundary Promotion” on the main page
Then click the “Collect” button on the “Free cross boundary ride for children” offer page
Place the Child Octopus over the reader and wait for the successful collection page

Passengers can enjoy one free ride for each collection. After taking the free ride, passengers can collect it again at the Digital Service Kiosk or Self-service Redemption Machine during the promotion period.

Terms and Conditions

From 13 July to 31 August 2026, children aged 3 to 11 can collect one free cross boundary ride to or from Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau Station (except Airport Express and Light Rail) with Child Octopus at Digital Service Kiosks or Self-service Redemption Machines located in the unpaid area of MTR stations before entering the gate for each ride.
The collected offer must be used for the next ride on the same day of collection (until the end of train service of that day), and that ride must be a cross boundary journey. The offer shall be forfeited if it is not used for a cross boundary journey or if the unused offer expires or it is not used in the specified way. No refund will be provided, and the offer will not be reissued under any circumstances.
Each Child Octopus can collect one free cross boundary ride each time. Passenger will be eligible to collect the offer again if the conditions of point 2 are met.

Each Octopus can only carry a maximum of one ride offer at any time. Using the same Octopus to collect more than one ride offer will void the unused ride offer. MTR Corporation Limited will not compensate for the voided ride offer. An additional Octopus is required to collect extra ride offers.
The free ride is not applicable to the journey heading to Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau Station and interchange between Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui stations. The fare for the full journey will be charged, and the Ride Offer will be voided. When traveling from Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau Station to Hong Kong and interchange between Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui stations, the free ride is only applicable to the first journey before interchange but the second journey after interchange will be charged.
Passengers who choose to take the collected free cross boundary ride in First Class on East Rail Line will be charged the First Class Premium for the journey.
Free transport connection only applies to a journey originating from Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau stations and interchanging to the following transportations at designated MTR stations:
Light Rail, MTR Buses (Northwest New Territories) (except K52A) and MTR Feeder Bus routes K12 (not applicable on Sundays and public holidays), K14, K17 and K18.
This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers unless otherwise specified.
MTR Corporation Limited reserves the right to alter or terminate this offer at any time.
The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance shall not apply to the terms and conditions herein.
