Customer-centricity is at the heart of everything we do. MTR is dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and comfortable railway services by continuously upgrading our station and railway facilities. By enhancing every detail, we aim to give you with a more secure, convenient, and pleasant journey.
Upgraded facilities, include:
| Escalators | Escalator replacement and refurbishment work is now progressing well across the network. Smart monitoring devices are being installed to detect foreign objects and instantly alert staff for follow-up, ensuring a safe and reliable journey for everyone. Over 40 escalators* have already been upgraded. |
| Lifts | To improve accessibility and passenger flow, we are replacing and refurbishing our lifts in phases. By installing lift drive systems, we are enhancing the speed and safety of travel between the concourse, platforms, and station exits. Over 70 lifts* have now been upgraded, with further enhancement work currently underway across the network. |
| Toilets | We are continuously upgrading the ventilation and lighting systems in our station toilets to provide a fresher, and brighter environment for our passengers. Work has been completed in over 100 toilets* with more refurbished facilities set to reopen in phases. |
