From 1 July 2026 (Wednesday) to 31 August 2026 (Monday), Airport Express has prepared a range of activities and offers to meet your travel needs during the Summer, including a new 50% off offer for students, allowing passengers of all ages to enjoy a comfortable and speedy journey!

1）Speed Grab Challenges

This summer, Airport Express will hold pop-up “Speed grab” challenges in the designated MTR stations and streets of Hong Kong in designated dates.

Participants simply need to put both hands into the designated wind machine and try to grab as many golden tickets as possible within 10 seconds. Those who successfully grab the required number or more will have a chance to win fantastic prizes, including free tickets, 50% off ticket discounts, and many more rewards!

• Any temporary changes or updates related to the Event will be announced on MTR official website, MTR Instagram or Facebook page.

Free Rides for Children

3) Free Rides for Children

From 1 July 2026 to 31 August 2026, children aged 3-11 using a valid Child Octopus can travel for free on the Airport Express from Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station to Airport Station, or vice versa; or enjoy a free round-trip when starting their journeys from Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station to AsiaWorld-Expo Station on the same day.

50% off for JoyYou Card Holders

4) 50% off for JoyYou Card Holders

From 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027, JoyYou Card holders aged 60 or above using a valid JoyYou Card can enjoy 50% off Octopus fare on the Airport Express from Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station to Airport Station, or vice versa.

*Terms and Conditions of 50% off for Students
  1. The promotion period is from 1 July to 31 August 2026, in accordance with the daily operating hours of the Airport Express.
  2. The offer is applicable to the Airport Express journeys between Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station and Airport Station only.
  3. The offer is applicable to passengers aged 12 to 25, enrolled in a full-time day course offered by an acceptable institution in Hong Kong and using a valid “Student Status” Personalised Octopus, members of MTR Student Travel Scheme only.
  4. Passengers can enjoy 50% off Octopus fare discount automatically when passing through the ticket gate of Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station with a valid “Student Status” Personalised Octopus that holds a positive balance.
  5. Passengers using this offer can still enjoy the free MTR connections. For passengers taking journeys starting with MTR lines followed by the Airport Express, the journey with the lower fare will be free.
  6. Passengers using this offer can still enjoy the free return journey when traveling to and from the Airport Station on the same day (except for journey between the Airport Station and AsiaWorld-Expo Station). However, the 50% off Octopus fare discount does not apply to the additional fares incurred due to the difference between the boarding and destination stations.
  7. The offer is not applicable to passengers who purchase group tickets, smart tickets or QR Code tickets for taking the Airport Express.
  8. The offer cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
  9. The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance shall not apply to the terms and conditions herein.
  10. MTR Corporation Limited reserves the right to make the final decision in the event of any dispute.

#Terms and Conditions of Free Rides for Children
  1. The promotion period is from 1 July to 31 August 2026, in accordance with the daily operating hours of the Airport Express.
  2. The offer applies to children aged 3 to 11 who use a valid Child Octopus only.
  3. The offer is applicable to Airport Express journeys between Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station and Airport Station; or round-trip journey on the Airport Express when starting the journey from Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station to AsiaWorld-Expo Station on the same day (except for journey between the Airport Station and AsiaWorld-Expo Station).
  4. For children using a valid Child Octopus travel from AsiaWorld-Expo Station to Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station, they can still enjoy the free ride offer from Airport Station to the city. However, a single journey fare of HK$3.2 will be charged from AsiaWorld-Expo Station to Airport Station.
  5. Same Day Return refers to travelling to and from AsiaWorld-Expo Station within the same day, where same day refers to the period of time between the daily start of the first train and the end of service. Passengers must use the same Octopus for entry and exit at Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station and AsiaWorld-Expo Station on the same day, to enjoy a free return journey.
  6. Children aged 3 to 11 can enjoy free rides automatically when passing through the ticket gate of Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station with a valid Octopus that holds a positive balance.
  7. Children who enjoy the free ride offer during the promotion period will not be eligible for any free MTR connections.
  8. The offer cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
