MTR Corporation is one of the world’s leading railway operators for safety, reliability, customer service and cost efficiency. Through our low-carbon transportation network and property developments, MTR enables cities and their people to move forward and make progress. MTR is committed to embedding environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) considerations into our business and operations to create long term value for all our stakeholders - customers, investors, employees, supply chain and the community. Our aspiration is to keep cities moving by managing our business sustainably with best- in-class governance, helping individuals and communities thrive, and contributing to the fight against climate change.

Since 2000, MTR has published its sustainability reports to disclose and communicate our sustainability approach, strategy and performance with key stakeholders, including our customers, employees, supply chain and the community. We adopt a combined approach to disclose our sustainability management and performance, which consists of the Sustainability Website (the “Website”) and the annual Sustainability Report (the “Report”). The Website discloses long standing information such as our management approach to the identified material sustainability issues; the Report provides annual updates on sustainability-related initiatives, performance and changes, in tandem with our Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (“TCFD”) disclosures.

The Website and the Report, complementing information available from other publicly accessible information such as our Annual Report, explain how sustainability is considered and integrated into our business strategies and decision-making processes.
