Construction Manager - Civil (Ref Code : CM-C)

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the project safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with all statutory requirements and specifications. You will provide construction input during the detailed design, tender documentation preparation and tender award. You will lead a team managing assigned Works Contracts, with responsibilities including construction supervision, interface management and all related safety, environmental, quality, programming, land and commercial aspects.

You should be a Chartered Civil Engineer or equivalent with at least 16 years' proven experience in the planning and construction of major civil construction projects of which preferably at least 4 years should be at senior management level. Proven experience in construction within urban environment and heavy traffic area including top-down excavation and foundation works would be an advantage.

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.

 

Senior Construction Engineer - Civil (Ref Code: SCONE-C)

Reporting to Construction Manager, you will manage and provide civil engineering support for the assigned construction contracts. You will ensure site safety, adopt appropriate methods of construction and maintain high quality standard for the works in compliance with all statutory requirements. You will also recommend the approval of temporary works designs, including excavation and lateral support for deep excavation, tunnelling and related structures, utilities and temporary traffic management schemes. You will also liaise with external parties including the community and Government Departments on behalf of the Engineer's Representative to facilitate granting of necessary approval for implementation of the works.

You should be a Chartered Civil or Mining Engineer with a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, and with at least 12 years' experience in heavy civil engineering construction. Experience in deep excavation using cut and cover and top down construction methods will be a definite advantage.

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.

 

Construction Engineer I - Civil (Ref Code: CONE-C)

Reporting to Senior Construction Engineer, you will carry out detailed civil engineering works for the assigned construction contracts including tender preparation, site supervision and inspection and day-to-day contract administration, as well as maintaining and agreeing site records and liaising with relevant parties to keep up the progress of works. You will be required to check temporary work designs including tunnel excavation (plus related structures), support systems, associated geotechnical works and traffic management scheme for compliance with the contract and verifications on site.

You should be a Chartered Civil or Mining Engineer with a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 8 years' experience in heavy civil engineering construction.

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.

 

Construction Engineer II-Civil (Ref Code: CONEII)

Reporting to Construction Engineer I, you will assist in supervising and managing works contracts of deep excavation, pile foundation, tunnel construction and related structures, monitor all site activities carried out by contractors, as well as manage interface with internal and external parties. You will also lead the Inspectors of Works to supervise the day-to-day construction works to ensure successful delivery of projects.

You should have a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with a Corporate Membership of a relevant professional institution with at least 4 years' experience in the design, construction and testing and commissioning of major civil construction projects. Solid experience in railway projects, tunnel construction, underground works and blasting engineering is an advantage.

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.

 

Senior Inspector of Works - Civil (Ref Code: SIOW-C)

You will manage a team of Inspectors of Works and supervise contractors to complete projects on time, and in compliance with the contract requirements. You will also manage the progress of construction works and supervise testing on-site and off-site in accordance with the specifications and take all necessary measurement and records.

You should have a Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 15 years' experience in railway and infrastructure works. Experience in drill and blast construction, deep excavation, large scale earthworks / site formation, structural concrete works and station fit-out / architectural finishes will be an advantage. You should also have experience in stakeholder engagement.

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.

 

Inspector of Works - Civil (Ref Code: IOW-C)

You will be responsible for managing a team of Assistant Inspector of Works to carry out site supervision to ensure the quality of the works and safety of construction as well as maintain appropriate site records. You will also liaise with relevant parties on site works and conduct necessary testing to ensure compliance with specifications.

You should have a Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 10 yearsˇ¦ relevant experience in railway and infrastructure works. Experience in TBM tunneling is preferred. For those with experience in drill and blast construction, deep excavation, large scale earthworks / site formation, structural concrete works and station fit-out / architectural finishes will also be an advantage.

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
