Current Job Openings Senior Construction Engineer - Building Services (Ref Code: SCONE-BS) Reporting to the Construction Manager - Building Services, you will manage the Building Services contracts for new railway project. You will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical engineering systems. You will review contractor's design submissions, drawings, work programmes, oversee the construction works and testing and commissioning works to completion. You will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure proper interfaces. You will lead a team of engineers and ensure that the project works are completed safely, on time and in a cost-effective manner in accordance with the corporate and statutory requirements and specifications. You should be a Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / BS Engineering or equivalent with at least 12 years' relevant experience in the design, construction, testing and commissioning of building services works, preferably in railway construction projects. Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
Senior Construction Engineer - Lifts, Escalators, PSD & APG (Ref Code: SCONE-PSD) You will lead the construction teams, comprised of Construction Engineers and Inspectors of Works, to manage all aspects relating to Lifts & Escalators (L&E), Platform Screen Doors (PSD) and Automatic Platform Gates (APG) construction contracts for the Shatin to Central Link project. You will ensure that the works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all corporate and statutory requirements and specifications. You will ensure that all major risks are mitigated and that any impacts on interfacing parties are effectively managed. You will manage the design, installation and commissioning activities, of which the installation and commissioning of APG will be carried out in the operating railway during non-traffic hours at night. You will also coordinate with various internal and external parties such as Civil, system-wide E&M, Building Services, and Operations Division for achievement of seamless technical and programme interfaces. You should be a Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with at least 12 years' experience in the management of large-scale L&E, PSD and APG construction projects in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably in railway projects. Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
Construction Engineer I - PSD & APG (Ref Code: CONEI-PSD) You will lead a team of Construction Engineers II and Inspectors of Works to manage the Platform Screen Doors (PSD) and Automatic Platform Gates (APG) construction works for the Shatin to Central Link project to ensure that the works are delivered safely, on time, cost-effectively and up to the corporate and statutory requirements and specifications. Construction Engineer I - Building Services (Ref Code: CONEI-BS) Reporting to the Senior Construction Engineer - Building Services, You will manage the Building Services contracts for new railway project . You will review and approve contractor submissions, monitor all the site activities carried out by contractors and liaise with internal and external parties from design, construction, testing and commissioning to completion. You will also supervise engineers and Inspectors of Works to carry out the daily construction works to ensure the project works are completed safely, on time and in a cost-effective manner in accordance with the corporate and statutory requirements and specifications. You should be a Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / BS Engineering or equivalent with at least 8 years' relevant experience, preferably in railway construction projects. Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
Construction Engineer I - Communications (Ref Code: CONEI-COMMS) You will be responsible for the execution and project management of communication systems contracts, including a common antenna network for the distribution of 2G / 3G / LTE (4G) mobile radio signals using leaky coaxial cables and antennas, RF-Optical repeating systems, RF combining and splitting devices, point-of-interconnection as well as station Wi-Fi and train-borne Wi-Fi systems, to ensure that the contracts are delivered in accordance with the requirements. You will review the contractors' submissions, supervise testing and commissioning works, carry out site inspections, handle day-to-day contract administration and maintain site records. You will also coordinate with various parties, including Government authorities, mobile network operators and internet service providers, to achieve seamless interfaces. You should be a Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Telecommunications / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent and have at least 8 years' experience in the design and management of radio communication systems contracts for large-scale railway projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. Knowledge of GSM-R radio, TETRA radio, fibre optic transmission network, data network and fluency in Putonghua will be an advantage. Open-mindedness, pro-activity, readiness to accept and promote innovative work initiatives and partnership are essential. Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
Construction Engineer II - Building Services (Ref Code: CONEII-BS) Reporting to Construction Engineer I - Building Services, you will assist in managing the building services contracts for new railway project. You will review and approve contractor submissions, monitor all the site activities carried out by contractors and liaise with internal and external parties from design, implementation to completion. You will also supervise Inspector of Works to carry out the daily construction works as required to ensure the project works are completed safely, on time and in accordance with the specified technical and operational requirements. You should be a Chartered Engineer or possess the qualification leading to the attainment of the Membership, with a Degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and at least 4 years relevant experience in the design, construction, testing and commissioning of building services works in major construction projects. Previous experience in railway construction works and operating railway will be an advantage. Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
