Current Job Openings Senior Programming Engineer (Ref Code: SPE) Reporting to the Chief Programming Engineer, you will be responsible for the preparation and development of detailed design, construction plans and programmes and tender documentation for one of the new railway projects. You will lead a team of programming engineers to assess tender submissions, review programmes and monitor progress against programme milestones, as well as formulate delay recovery actions as necessary. You will prepare regular progress reports with analyses and recommendations to address programming issues to ensure timely project completion. You should have a Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines and Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution, with at least 12 years' experience in major construction projects and good knowledge of construction methodologies, planning and programming. Previous construction experience in railway or other major infrastructure projects is a definite advantage. You should be fully conversant with programming techniques and have hands-on experience in the application of programming software, preferably Primavera P6. Candidates who do not meet all the requirements but with extensive construction and programming experience will also be considered. Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
Programming Engineer I (Ref Code: PE-I) Reporting to Senior Programming Engineer, you will assist in the preparation, development and maintenance of detailed design, construction plans and programmes and tender documentation, monitoring progress against programme milestones as well as providing advice on recovery actions. You will also ensure the provision of adequate and timely programming progress reports, together with appropriate recommendations to ensure timely project completion. You should have a Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution, with at least 8 years' experience in major construction projects. Previous construction experience in railway projects or other major infrastructure projects is a definite advantage. You should be fully conversant with programming techniques and have hands-on experience in the application of programming software, preferably Primavera P6. Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
Programming Engineer II (Ref Code: PE-II) Reporting to Programming Engineer I, you will prepare and maintain the project master programme for prospective and current railway extensions and related projects, as well as monitor progress against the programme. You will also assist in the preparation of tender documents, monitor and control the agreed programme and coordinate with internal parties to resolve programme issues. You should have a Degree in an Engineering discipline with at least 4 years' design and construction experience in railway or other major infrastructure projects. Some knowledge and understanding of programming techniques and software applications is an advantage. Experience in project planning and programming is not mandatory and on-the-job training will be provided. Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
