South Horizons

Works Description

Proposed works at South Horizons are the construction of an underground station plus its associated above-ground entrances and ventilation building.

These works comprise:

Construction of a tunnel from Lei Tung Station to South Horizons Station;
Construction of underground railway station and station entrances;
Construction of a station plant building at Lee Nam Road plus the associated slope stabilization works; and
Provision of site offices and areas for construction material storage.

The construction of South Horizons Station has been designed to be carried out in stages at different works areas. A series of temporary traffic diversions and road decks will allow traffic flow at the surface while underground works are being carried out.

This website presents a user-friendly summary of the contents of the EIA Report, including the potential impacts due to the project, the recommended mitigation measures and the results of applying these measures. Technical terminologies were rephrased in common-language terms to aid in its understanding. Graphics have also been used where possible to aid understanding, and are not designed to be actual representative examples of conditions on site.
