Passengers taking the Airport Express to interchange to MTR lines can enjoy free MTR connections. To benefit, use the same Octopus to interchange within one hour of arrival between the Airport Express at Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Stations and the interconnecting MTR Line, including Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau Stations (except the Light Rail, MTR Bus and East Rail Line First Class). For passengers taking journeys starting with MTR lines followed by the Airport Express, the journey with the lower fare will be free. When changing between Tsim Sha Tsui/East Tsim Sha Tsui Stations you must do so within 30 minutes of arrival at either station.
Same Day Return fares are valid when you use the Adult/Child Same Day Return Ticket purchased from any Airport Express Customer Service Centre or Ticket Issuing Machines, or use the same Octopus to take a return trip between AsiaWorld-Expo Station and Hong Kong/ Kowloon/ Tsing Yi Station on the same operating day.
There are even Special Same Day Return fares which are valid when you use the same Octopus to travel to and from AsiaWorld-Expo Station on the same operating day and stay in AsiaWorld-Expo for a minimum of 1 hour between exiting and re-entering the station ticket gate.
The Octopus Single Journey fare will be deducted when you enter the system. Fare rebate will be automatically credited to your Octopus at the end of your return journey. If your boarding and destination stations are different, your total Octopus fare will be calculated as the average of the fares for the two journeys.
