TICKETS TYPE AND FARES

Passengers can now use Contactless Bank Cards^ and QR codes at selected Airport Express stations and designated gates. Please refer to the table below for details.

Round Trip Ticket	Round Trip tickets are station-specific and can be used for 1 return journey on the Airport Express between Airport and the station specified. Octopus	The Octopus is an easy-to-use, electronic stored value smart card which automatically deducts fares for most major local transportation modes from its stored value. Please click here for more details.	Any Airport Express or MTR Customer Service Centre (excluding Airport Station)
QR Code	Passengers now use AlipayHK EasyGo, Alipay Transit QR Code, UnionPay App MTR Transit QR Code or WeChat Transit QR Code for QR code payment at entry/exit gates on the Airport Express. The fares will be deducted directly from your e-wallet. Please click here for more details.	N/A
Contactless Bank Card^ (Credit Card or Debit Card)	Passengers can use Visa, Mastercard or UnionPay Contactless Bank Cards# to enter and exit the gates for MTR rides. Adopting the "Ride First, Pay Later" model, the system will normally calculate the total accumulated fare for Airport Express rides daily and collect the fare from passengers accordingly. Same Day Return refers to travelling to and from Airport Station within the same day, where same day refers to the period of time between the daily start of the first train and the end of service.

For passengers to enjoy Same Day Return offer, the same Octopus, Contactless Bank Card^ or e-wallet QR Code must be used for entry and exit at Airport Express Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station, and there should not be more than 9 transaction records during the entry and exit period.

Passengers using contactless card* or e-wallet QR code will not be eligible for the free return offer if they use the same payment method for any journey other than the eligible Airport Express return trip during the period between outbound gate and return gate entry or exit.

Special Same Day Return Fares (in HK$)

To enjoy the offer, passengers must:

Use the same Octopus, Contactless Bank Card^ or e-wallet QR Code to travel to and from AsiaWorld-Expo Station on the same day; and
Stay in AsiaWorld-Expo for a minimum of 1 hour between exiting and re-entering the station ticket gate

Passengers who fail to meet these requirements will be charged the Same Day Return fare.
The Octopus, Contactless Bank Card^ or QR Code should not have more than 9 transaction records between exiting and re-entering the ticket gate at AsiaWorld-Expo Station to enjoy the offer.
Passengers using contactless card* or e-wallet QR code will not be eligible for the free return offer if they use the same payment method for any journey other than the eligible Airport Express return trip during the period between outbound gate and return gate exit.
The Octopus or QR Code Single Journey fare will be deducted when you enter the system. Fare rebate will be automatically credited to your Octopus or e-wallet at the end of your return journey.
If your boarding and destination stations are different, your total fare will be calculated as the average of the fares for the two journeys.

Children under 3 travel free.
Passengers holding Elder Octopus, JoyYou Card, Personalised Octopus with "Student Status" or "Persons with Disabilities Status" or using Contactless Bank Card^ must pay the adult fare.
