Photo Spots at Selected Stations

The designs from our Chinese New Year Commemorative Tickets will be brought to life at Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui, Tai Wai and Racecourse stations. Featuring traditional paper-cutting patterns and windmill decorations, these displays symbolise a continuous flow of good fortune. Even our ticket gates are getting a makeover!

This year, we have introduced special voice greetings by local hip-hop duo FAMA, featuring the New Year version of their hit song to spread festive vibes. To truly get into the holiday mood, passengers are invited to take selfies with the themed installation at these selected stations (excluding Racecourse Station). Plus, by checking in at the Tai Wai Station photo spot, passengers can scan a QR code to receive exclusive coupons for The Wai shopping mall—with new surprises every week!

High-Speed Rail: Festive Photo Spots & DIY Digital Couplets

Head to Level B1 of Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to discover a spectacular 3D installation. Captain Go, dressed as the God of Wealth, is featured alongside a display of galloping horse and vibrant red decorations. Customised digital couplets with Captain Go are also available. Passengers can add their own photo for a personalised design, then download it for free to share the festive spirit with loved ones!

To share the blessings of the Year of the Horse, festive music will be played across our stations. Special decorations will also be featured at 10 MTR stations (Diamond Hill, LOHAS Park, Kennedy Town, Yau Ma Tei, Kai Tak, Kowloon Bay, Wong Tai Sin, Mong Kok, Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations) and 3 Airport Express city stations (Hong Kong, Kowloon and Tsing Yi stations), creating a warm and joyous atmosphere for all commuters to enjoy the holidays.

AI Tracy’s New Look & Lucky Draw

From 13 to 26 February, our Virtual Service Ambassador, Tracy, will debut her festive new outfit. The Wai - Explore Tai Wai 2026

Chinese New Year at THE SOUTHSIDE: A Blooming Year of the Horse

From 26 January to 3 March 2026, the spectacular “ Blossoming Prosperity” installation will be on display at THE SOUTHSIDE. Delicately designed by renowned local florist Gary Kwok, known for her work with prominent brands, this large-scale Chinese New Year creation features auspicious flowers such as peonies, hydrangeas, and common chrysanthemum. Adorned with motifs of “福” (fortune), galloping horses, and traditional New Year flowers, the installation embodies a fresh spring. Along with a lineup of festive excitements, including robot dance, festive kids’ performances, live music, and pet-friendly activities, the God of Wealth or his robotic double will also show up on certain days to send New Year wishes your way! THE SOUTHSIDE is proud to have invited Indian dance group Yo Highness, one of the performing units on Hong Kong Tourism Board’s “Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade” this year, to perform at the atrium on 18 February, zesting up a vital new year for everyone!
